분명한 이유(7/25/2026)

사랑하는 성도님들,

누군가 “당신은 오늘, 왜 살아가십니까?”라고

물어온다면 무엇이라 대답하시겠습니까?

살아가다 보면 감당하기 힘든 눈물과 억울함,

말 못 할 고단함이 덮칠 때가 참 많습니다.

만약 이 땅에서 살아야 할 분명한 이유와

거룩한 목적이 없다면,

주님이 나를 위해 예비해 두신

영원한 하늘 집에

지금 가는 것이 더 낫지 않을까요?

그곳은 눈물도, 아픔도, 한숨도 없고

오직 영원한 기쁨과 완전한 평안만

가득한 곳이니 말입니다.

그럼에도 불구하고,

오늘 하나님께서 나를 이 고단한 이 땅에

여전히 살려두신 분명하고도

명확한 이유가 있습니다.

주님이 피로 사신 몸 된 교회를

온전히 회복시키고,

나아가 이웃 교회들과 따뜻하게 어깨를 맞대어

어두운 세상 한가운데

그리스도의 찬란한 복음 빛을

환히 비추기 위함입니다.

이 거룩한 사명이 있기에,

나의 오늘 하루는 결코 헛될 수 없습니다.

하나님께서 당신을 오늘 이 땅에

남겨두신 이유는 무엇입니까?

"나는 복음에 합당한 삶을

사는 사람입니다."

(빌 1:27)

If someone were to ask you,

"Why are you living today?" 

how would you answer?

As we journey through life,

we often face tears that seem unbearable,

injustices that wound us deeply,

and burdens too heavy to put into words.

If there were no clear reason

or holy purpose for our lives on this earth,

wouldn't it be better to go now

to the eternal home

the Lord has prepared for us?

After all, heaven is a place

where there are no more tears,

no more pain,

and no more sighing—

only everlasting joy and perfect peace.

Yet despite all of this,

there is a clear and unmistakable reason

why God has allowed us to remain

on this weary earth today.

He has left me here to restore His church,

which He purchased with His own blood,

and to stand shoulder to shoulder

with neighboring churches so that,

together, we may shine the glorious light

of the gospel of Christ into a dark world.

Because of this holy calling,

not a single day of my life is ever wasted.

Why has God left you here today?

"I am a person who lives a life

worthy of the gospel."(Philippians 1:27)
