말할 수 없는 기쁨(4/3/2026)

사랑하는 성도님들,

하늘의 별들을 만드신 그 위대한 손이

먼지 묻은 피조물의 발을 닦아주시는 곳,

왕이 종의 자리에 서서 사랑을 고백하는 곳,

그곳이 바로 우리가 꿈꾸는 하나님 나라입니다.

세상은 대접받는 자리에 앉아 환호할 때

천국 백성인 우리는 낮은 자리에서

조용히 노래합니다.

누군가를 위해 나를 내어주는 섬김의 전율이

세상의 어떤 환대보다

뜨겁고 영원하기 때문입니다.

살을 에는 십자가의 참혹한 고통 속에서도

우리 주님의 심장 한편에는

말할 수 없는 기쁨이 있었습니다.

십자가를 징검다리 삼아

아버지의 품으로 돌아올

고아 같은 우리를 보셨기 때문입니다.

주님이 보혈로 사랑을 확증하신 오늘,

나를 드러내고 싶은 욕망의 옷을 벗고

겸손의 수건을 허리에 두른 채,

내 곁의 이웃을 주님 대하듯

따스하게 안아봅시다.

우리의 작은 섬김 하나가

주님의 십자가 사랑에 드리는

가장 아름다운 향기가 될 것입니다.

"나는 주를 경외함으로

모든 사람을 주께 하듯

섬기는 사람입니다."

(엡 5:21)

The same mighty hands that created

the stars in the heavens

are the hands that gently wash

the dust-covered feet of His creation.

The place where a King stands

in the position of a servant

and confesses His love—

that is the Kingdom of God we long for.

While the world cheers from seats of honor,

we, as citizens of heaven,

sing quietly from the lowest place.

For the trembling joy of giving ourselves for another

burns hotter and lasts longer than

any applause this world can offer.

Even in the brutal agony of the cross

that tore through His flesh,

there was an indescribable joy

in the heart of our Lord.

For He saw us—once like orphans—

returning to the Father’s embrace,

crossing over the bridge of His sacrifice.

On this day,

when the Lord confirmed His love

through His precious blood,

let us lay aside our desire to exalt ourselves,

and instead,

with the towel of humility wrapped around us,

embrace our neighbors

as if we were embracing the Lord Himself.

Each small act of our service

will rise as the most beautiful fragrance

offered to the love of His cross.

“I am one who, in reverence for the Lord,

serves all people

as though serving Him.”

(Ephesians 5:21)
