안맞는 옷(7/20/2026)

사랑하는 성도 여러분,

우리는 하나님의 은혜로

복음을 듣고 믿고 죄사함을 받아

‘하나님의 자녀’가 되었습니다.

부모가 자녀의 행복을 볼 때 가장 기쁘듯,

하나님은 그의 자녀들이 하늘의 풍성한 복을

마음껏 누리며 살아갈 때,

그리고 "우리 아버지는 정말 이런 분이셔!" 하고

세상에 아버지를 자랑스럽게 보여줄 때

가장 행복해하십니다.

하늘의 복을 누리는 비결은 무엇일까요?

하나님 아버지를 온전히 신뢰하면서,

그분의 말씀대로 말하고

그분의 뜻대로 행동해 보는 것입니다.

사실 우리는 자기도 모르게 눈에 보이는 대로,

귀에 들리는 소문대로,

혹은 내 몸과 기분이 느끼는 대로

말하고 행동할 때가 많지요.

그건 복음을 알기 전의 ‘옛 사람’에게

익숙했던 방식이고,

하나님 자녀가 된 ‘새 사람’에게는

어울리지 않는 옷입니다.

오늘 하루,

눈앞의 상황이나 기분에 마음을 빼앗기지 말고

오직 믿음으로 살아갑시다.

우리가 하나님의 말씀을 따라 말하고 행동할 때,

세상은 우리를 통해 하늘 아버지를 보게 될 것입니다.

“나는 복음에

합당한 삶을 사는 사람입니다” (빌 1:27)

By God's grace,

we heard the gospel, believed in Christ,

received the forgiveness of our sins,

and became God's beloved children.

Just as parents find their greatest joy

in seeing their children happy,

our heavenly Father delights

when His children fully enjoy

the abundant blessings of heaven.

And when we proudly tell the world,

"This is what my Father is like!" 

through the way we live,

His heart is filled with joy.

So, what is the secret to experiencing

the blessings of heaven?

It is to trust our heavenly Father completely,

to speak and act according to His Word.

The truth is,

we often find ourselves speaking

and acting based on what we see with our eyes,

what we hear from others,

or how we feel in the moment.

That was the way of the old self 

before we knew the gospel.

It is no longer the way of the new self 

who has become a child of God.

Those old ways simply do not fit us anymore.

Today,

let us not be controlled by our circumstances

or our emotions.

Instead, let us live by faith alone.

As we speak and act according to God's Word,

the world will see our heavenly Father through us.

"I am a person

who lives a life worthy of the gospel of Christ." 

(Philippians 1:27)
