사랑하는 성도님들,

우리의 힘과 의지만으로는

하나님의 자녀 답게

살 수 없습니다.

그래서 하나님 아버지께서

우리에게 그분의 영이신

성령님을 보내주셨습니다.   

성령님은 우리가 원하는 길로

인도하시는 분이 아니라,

하나님 아버지께서 원하시는 길로

우리를 인도하십니다.

하나님의 자녀는

자신이 원하는 것을 이루기 위해

성령님의 도움을 구하지 않고,

성령님의 인도하심을 따르면서

아버지께서 원하시는 것을

이루며 사는 자입니다.

무슨 말을 하기 전에,

무슨 일을 하기 전에,

먼저 성령님께 물어보고

그분의 인도하심을 따라 살아봅시다.  

“나는 성령님의 인도하심을

따라 사는 자입니다.”

(요 16:13)

By our own strength and willpower,

we cannot live as children of God.

That is why our heavenly Father

has sent us His Spirit, the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit does not lead us

where we want to go,

but where our heavenly Father wants us to go.

As God’s children,

we do not seek the Holy Spirit’s help

simply to fulfill our own desires.

Instead, we follow His leading

and live to fulfill our Father’s desires.

Before we speak,

before we act,

let us first ask the Holy Spirit to guide us,

and follow His leading.

“I am one who lives

by the leading of the Holy Spirit.”

(John 16:13)
