부적(5/6/2026)

사랑하는 성도 여러분,

'눈에서 멀어지면 마음도 멀어진다'는 말처럼,

보이지 않는 하나님은 우리 마음에서

쉽게 밀려나곤 합니다.

불안함에 쫓기는 사람들은

하나님 대신 눈에 보이는

'금송아지'를 만들려 합니다.

놀랍게도 현재 한국 성도 4명 중 1명은

몸에 부적을 지니는 것을

괜찮게 여긴다고 합니다.

이것은 전쟁의 승리를 위해 하나님 대신

언약궤를 의지하며 나갔던

이스라엘의 우상숭배와 다르지 않습니다.

정말 하나님 한 분만으로 충분하십니까?

아니면 여전히 불안을 달래줄

눈에 보이는 '무엇'을 곁에 두고 계십니까?

"나와 내 집은 오직 여호와만 섬기겠습니다."

이 고백은 눈에 보이는 허상을 꺾고

보이지 않는 하나님을 붙드는 믿음입니다.

오늘, 손에 쥔 가짜 안심을 내려놓고

우리 삶의 진정한 주인 되신

주님만을 온전히 신뢰합시다.

보이지 않는 주님을 믿음으로 바라볼 때,

우리의 삶은 비로소 흔들리지 않는

반석 위에 서게 될 것입니다.

As the saying goes, “Out of sight, out of mind,”

the unseen God can easily be pushed

to the margins of our hearts.

In our anxiety, we are tempted to replace God

with something visible—our own “golden calf.”

Surprisingly, recent research shows that

one out of four Christians in Korea

find it acceptable to carry a talisman.

This is no different from Israel’s idolatry,

when they trusted in the Ark of the Covenant

instead of trusting in God for victory.

Is God alone truly enough for you?

Or are you still holding on to something visible

to ease your fears?

“As for me and my house,

we will serve the Lord only.” (Joshua 24:15)

This confession is the courage to break down

visible illusions and hold fast to the unseen Creator.

Today,

let us lay down the false securities in our hands

and fully trust in the Lord,

the true Master of our lives.

When we fix our eyes on the unseen Lord by faith,

our lives will finally stand firm

on the unshakable rock.
