예수님의 크기(2/19/2026)

사랑하는 성도님들,

지금, 기분이 어떠신가요?

우리를 웃게도 하고

울게도 하는 그 기분은,

무엇에 의해 영향을 받았을까요?

시시각각 변하는

날씨같은 환경인가요,

우리 인생의 주인이신

예수님인가요?

우리의 기분이 환경에 좌우된다면,

평생 바람에 흔들리는 갈대처럼

살 수 밖에 없을 것입니다.

사도 바울은

사방이 막힌 감옥 안에서도

기뻐하며 찬양할 수 있었습니다.

초인적인 의지를 가졌기 때문이 아니라,

감옥이라는 환경보다 그와 동행하시는

예수님이 훨씬 더 크셨기 때문입니다.

성도님들에게

예수님은 얼마나 크신 분인가요?

일이 내 뜻대로 풀리지 않아도

주변 사람들이 나를 힘들게 해도

예수님이 정말 크신 분이라면

우리는 여전히 기뻐할 수 있습니다.

주님,

오늘도 주님의 말씀을

묵상하며 살아갈 때,

우리 교회의 머리이신 예수님의 크기를 실감하게 하사,

환경에 의해 휘둘리지 않고

하늘의 기쁨을 맛보게 하소서.

"하나님의 부르심을 받아 하나된 우리가

사랑으로 진리를 말하며 함께

그리스도에까지 자라게 하소서."

(엡 4:15)

How are you feeling right now?

That feeling—which makes us laugh at times

and brings us to tears at others—

what is influencing it?

Is it the ever-changing environment

around us, like shifting weather?

Or is it Jesus, the Lord of our lives?

If our emotions are determined

by our circumstances,

we will have no choice but to live

like reeds swaying in the wind all our lives.

The Apostle Paul was able to rejoice

and sing praises even inside a prison

surrounded by walls on every side.

It was not because he possessed

superhuman willpower,

but because the Jesus who was with him

was far greater than the prison that confined him.

How great is Jesus to you?

Even when things do not go as you wish,

even when people around you make life difficult,

if Jesus is truly great in your life,

you can still rejoice.

Lord,

as we meditate on Your Word today

and live by it,

help us truly grasp the greatness

of Jesus,the Head of our church.

Keep us from being shaken

by our circumstances,

and let us taste the joy of heaven.

“Having been called by God and made one,

may we speak the truth in love

and grow together into Christ.”

(Ephesians 4:15)
