인생 과업 A Wonderful Mission

사랑하는 성도님들,

예수님은 나를 살리시려고

내 대신 죽으셨습니다.

사랑받을 만한 모습이 되기를

기다리지 않으셨습니다.

연약하고 죄 많은 나를 먼저 사랑하시고,

십자가 위에서

자신의 생명을 내어 주셨습니다.

그 십자가 앞에서 깨닫습니다.

나는 주님께서 목숨을 내어 주실 만큼

소중한 사람이구나.’

주님께서 깨닫게 하십니다.

‘내 곁의 저 사람도

주님께 그만큼 소중한 사람이구나.’

내 마음에 들지 않는다고

누군가를 비난하고 업신여길 때,

주님께서 두 팔을 벌려 받아주신 사람을

나는 차갑게 밀어내는 것입니다.

생각만 해도 마음이 불편한 사람이 있나요?

그 사람의 얼굴 위에

십자가를 겹쳐 보세요.

나를 위해 흘리신 주님의 보혈은

또한 그 사람을 위한 것입니다.

그 사람을 사랑으로 품어 줄 작전을

꼼꼼히 세워봅시다.

가장 멋지고 위대한

인생과업이 될것입니다.

“서로를 받아 줌으로

하나님께 영광 돌리게 하소서.”

(롬 15:7)

Jesus died in my place

so that I might live.

He did not wait

until I became worthy of love.

He loved me first,

weak and sinful as I was,

and gave His life on the cross.

Before that cross, I realize:

“I am so precious to the Lord

that He gave His life for me.”

Then the Lord helps me see:

“That person beside me is

just as precious to Him.”

When I criticize and look down on someone

simply because I do not like them,

I am coldly pushing away someone

the Lord has welcomed with open arms.

Is there someone whose very name

unsettles your heart?

Picture the cross over that person’s face.

The precious blood Jesus shed for me

was also shed for that person.

Let us thoughtfully make a plan

to embrace that person with love.

It may becomeone of the most beautiful

and meaningful undertakings of our lives.

“Lord, help us bring glory to You

by welcoming one another.”

(Romans 15:7)
