지름길 A Short Cut

보고 싶은 성도님들,

우리는 목적지에

빨리 닿는 길을 찾지만,

하나님은 우리가 믿음으로 

걸어갈 길을 여십니다.

우리의 눈에는

곧게 뻗은 지름길이 좋아 보여도,

우리를 사랑하시는 주님은

광야로 발걸음을 이끄십니다.

물도 귀하고

먹을 것도 부족한 광야에서

우리는 비로소 배웁니다.

내 손에 쥔 것보다

나를 붙드시는 손이

더 든든하다는 것을.

광야가 안전한 것은

부족함이 없기 때문이 아니라,

매순간 하나님을 의지하며

살아야 하기 때문입니다.

광야에 서 있는 것 같습니까?

하나님을 의지하는 길로

인도해 주신 것에 감사해 보세요.

“나는 성령님의 인도하심을

따라 사는 자입니다.” 

(요 16:13)

We look for the road

that gets us there quickly,

but God opens a path for us to walk by faith.

To our eyes,

the straight, short road looks best,

yet our loving Lord leads our steps

into the wilderness.

In the wilderness, where water is scarce

and food is hard to find,

we finally learn:

The hand that holds us is far more trustworthy

than anything we hold in ours.

The wilderness is safe

not because we lack nothing,

but because we must depend on God

every moment of every day.

Do you feel

as though you are standing in the wilderness?

Give thanks to God

for leading you along a path

where you learn to lean on Him.

“I live by the guidance of the Holy Spirit.”

(John 16:13)
