큰 비밀 A big Secret

사랑하는 성도님들,

하나님이 어떤 분이신지,

그분 앞에 내가 누구인지 깨달을 때,

내 인생의 최고 목적이

나를 지으신 하나님께 영광을 돌리고,

그분을 기뻐하고 즐거워하며

하루하루 살아가는 것입니다.

온 마음을 다해 드리는 예배,

평범한 하루 속에 피어나는 감사,

눈물 가운데서도 올려 드리는 찬양을

하나님은 기쁘게 받으십니다.

하나님께 영광을 돌리는 길은

우리 곁의 사람에게로도 이어집니다.

주는 것보다 받는 데 익숙한 사람,

섬기기보다 섬김받기를 바라는 사람,

자기 마음의 울타리 안에

머물러 있는 사람까지도,

주님께서 나를 받아 주셨듯

그 모습 그대로 받아 주고

사랑으로 곁을 내어 줄 때,

하나님은 영광을 받으십니다.

어쩌면 오늘 우리가 드릴 예배는

마음에 들지 않는 누군가를 향해

닫혀 있던 마음의 문을

조용히 여는 일인지도 모릅니다.

서로를 받아 줌으로 하나님께

영광을 돌리는 오늘이 되게 하소서.

(롬 15:7)

 When we come to know who God is

and who we are before Him,

we discover the highest purpose of our lives:

to glorify the God who created us

and to delight in Him, day by day.

Worship offered with all our hearts,

gratitude blossoming in an ordinary day,

and praise lifted through our tears—

God receives them with joy.

The path of glorifying God also

leads us to the people beside us.

Even those more accustomed to receiving than giving,

those who would rather be served than serve,

and those who remain within the walls

of their own concerns—when we welcome them

as they are,just as the Lord has welcomed us,

and make room for them in love,

God is glorified.

The worship we offer today is the quiet opening

of a once-closed door in our hearts

to someone we find difficult to love.

May today be a day when we glorify God

by welcoming one another.
