현재와 미래 Present and Future

사랑하는 성도님들,

“현재의 고난은 장차 우리에게

나타날 영광과 비교할 수 없도다”

이 말씀은 우리 모두에게 위로와 용기를

주는 동시에, 우리의 믿음과 인내를

요구하는 말씀이기도 합니다.  

우리 원수 마귀는

아담과 하와에게 했던 것처럼

영원한 영광에 우리 눈을 멀게 하고

지금 당장의 만족을 선택하라고

우리 귀에 속삭입니다.  

반면에, 하나님은 장차 우리가 영원히

누리게 될 영광에 합당한 자들로

실수 없이 빚어가고 계십니다.  

오늘, 마귀의 달콤한 속삭임에 귀를 닫고

우리를 그분의 형상대로 빚고 계시는

하나님을 온전히 신뢰함으로

범사에 감사하는 삶을 살아갑시다.

“하나님을 사랑하는 나,

하나님의 뜻대로 부르심을

입은 나에게는 모든 것이 합력하여

선을 이루게 하십시다.”

(롬 8:28)

 “Our present sufferings are not worth

comparing with the glory

that will be revealed in us.”

These words give us comfort and courage,

but they also call us to faith and perseverance.

Just as he did with Adam and Eve,

our enemy the devil seeks to blind us

to eternal glory and whispers in our ears,

urging us to choose immediate gratification.

God, on the other hand,

is faithfully shaping us—

without making a single mistake—

into people worthy of the glory

we will enjoy forever.

Today, let us close our ears

to the devil’s sweet whispers

and live with gratitude in all circumstances,

fully trusting God,

who is shaping us into His image.

“Because I love God and have been called

according to His purpose,

God causes all things to work

together for my good.”

(Romans 8:28)
